Overview
Three month old infant presents to the clinic with signs of distress. Participant must identify signs of distress and intervene appropriately.
Description
Learning Objectives
The participant will:
- Demonstrate competency in physical assessment of the pediatric client with cardiac disease
- Recognize impending cardiovascular collapse
- Initiate initial steps of emergency interventions
- Identify potential emergency interventions for SVT including vagal maneuvers, medications and cardioversion
- Utilize closed loop communication and SBAR communication techniques
