In conjunction with the Common Core State Standards and the Definition of College and Career Readiness, common assessments will help to ensure students are on track to high school completion, ready for credit-bearing work and prepared for future careers. Assessments should reduce the need for post-secondary retesting and remediation.
Assessment tools will be ready for Massachusetts to pilot in 2013-2014 and to administer during the 2014-15 school year, as determined by P-12 and higher education policies.
