Leave of Absence

Participants taking a leave of absence (LOA) may have plan contributions and/or ORP insurance coverages continue while they are away. The sections below address each benefit’s rules for continued participation in the plan during a leave of absence.

Retirement Plan Contributions

If your workload during a leave of absence is sufficient to maintain your eligibility for ORP coverage (usually 50% FTE or greater), then your Employee Plan Contributions and the Commonwealth's Plan Contributions will continue during your leave.

If your workload during the LOA is less than the amount required for benefits coverage, then no Plan Contributions will be made.

ORP Insurances
