Temporary Appointments

An ORP Participant who accepts a temporary appointment to a position that is not eligible for ORP coverage will remain as an active participant in the ORP if their institution reasonably expects them to return to their original position.

Please note: As of March 10, 2008, the office of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education
was renamed the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. The name change will be integrated into
prior existing website content gradually over the next few months.
