Eligibility

Participants must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below in order to purchase post-employment benefits from the GIC. The requirements vary depending on a participant’s status with the Commission.

The ORP Plan Administrator is the sole, authoritative determinant of each participant’s eligibility for post-employment benefits.

Please note: As of March 10, 2008, the office of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education
was renamed the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. The name change will be integrated into
prior existing website content gradually over the next few months.
