ORP Eligibility
Employees to participate in the ORP must be employed in one of the following positions:
- Faculty
- Chancellor
- Vice Chancellor
- President
- Vice Presidents
- Deans
- Senior Administrators I, II, III, or IV at the University of Massachusetts
Eligible Employees must meet the minimum workload requirement as defined in Chapter 32 of the Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.), generally, 50% Full-Time Equivalency (FTE). This is the same minimum workload requirement for the State Employees' Retirement System (SERS).
Eligible Employees must not be vested in any plan governed by Chapter 32 (M.G.L.), including the State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS), the State Teacher's Retirement System (STRS), and many county retirement plans.
