PCIPP Approval for Criminal Justice Programs
Only those individuals who demonstrate one of the following criteria are eligible for pay increases under the Policy Career Incentive Pay Program (PCIPP):
- graduates of criminal justice or law enforcement programs that meet or exceed the Guidelines for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Programs (.PDF) set forth by the Board of Higher Education and implemented on January 1, 2004; or
- graduates of law schools accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges or approved by the Board of Higher Education and who have passed the Massachusetts Bar Examination.
Individuals meeting these requirements should contact the Board of Higher Education's Office of Student Financial Assistance for information about applying for PCIPP/Quinn Bill benefits.
Institutions seeking to have a program approved under the Guidelines for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Programs must submit an application and self-assessment to the Board of Higher Education for evaluation by an external review committee appointed by the Board of Higher Education.
