Processing Other Changes in Employment Status
Change to Ineligible Position
Workload Reduction to Less Than 50% FTE
Leave of Absence
Campus Administrators must report changes in ORP Participants' employment statuses to the Plan Administrator as soon as possible after any of the following changes occur:
Definition
The Campus Administrator must notify the Plan Administrator as soon as possible if a Participant changes positions to one that is not eligible for ORP participation.
Processing Change
To process the change, the Campus Administrator must:
- Provide Group Life Insurance Conversion Form (.PDF) to the Participant; and
- Complete the online Change to Ineligible Position form.
Workload Reduction to Less Than 50% FTE
Definition
The Campus Administrator must notify the Plan Administrator as soon as possible if a Participant's workload in a covered position is reduced to a level below the minimum required in Mass. General Laws Chapter 32 (50% FTE).
Processing Change
To process the change, the Campus Administrator must:
- Complete the online Workload Reduction to less than 50% FTE form.
Definition
The Campus Administrator must notify the Plan Administrator as soon as possible if a Participant takes a leave of absence without pay.
Processing Change
To process the change, the Campus Administrator must:
- Complete the online Leave of Absence Without Pay form.
