College and Career Readiness and Success

The Board of Higher Education oversees several college and career readiness programs, including GEAR UP and the Think Again campaign, which consists of a college awareness and planning website and media campaign.

The Board of Higher Education is the lead state policy organization for the national Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count initiative to improve student success for underserved students.

Jointly with the Department of Education, the Board of Higher Education has created a shared K-12 and higher education database to track student performance from PreK through college.

The Board of Higher Education also participates as a partner in related activities, including the Achieve/American Diploma Project and College Ready New England , which are led by other organizations.
