College and Career Readiness and Success
The Board of Higher Education oversees several college and career readiness programs, including GEAR UP and the Think Again campaign, which consists of a college awareness and planning website
and media campaign.
The Board of Higher Education is the lead state policy organization for the national Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count initiative to improve student success for underserved students.
Jointly with the Department of Education, the Board of Higher Education has created a shared K-12 and higher education database to track student performance from PreK through college.
The Board of Higher Education also participates as a partner in related activities, including the Achieve/American Diploma Project
and College Ready New England
, which are led by other organizations.
