Tuition Assistance

The Board of Higher Education oversees several tuition assistance programs for which veterans may be eligible:

  • The Categorical Tuition Waiver provides tuition support, not including fees, for eligible individuals, including veterans, attending public higher education institutions.
  • The National Guard Tuition and Fee Waiver Program, part of the Massachusetts Welcome Home Bill of 2005, provides tuition and fee support for eligible active members of the Massachusetts Army or Air National Guard.
  • The Massachusetts Public Service Grant Program is a scholarship for the child of Massachusetts service persons killed in action, those who died as a result of service, and those missing in action in Southeast Asia whose war time service occurred between February 1, 1955, and the termination of the Vietnam campaign.
