Financial Aid Checklist
Either before or while you apply for admission, you should also apply for financial aid:
- Be sure to apply for FAFSA
early. - Contact your new institution’s financial aid office to make sure they have the necessary information.
- If you have a student loan, ask the loan company whether your loan payments begin while you are still enrolled or after graduation. Also, make sure you know what the loan company considers “enrolled” (for example, more than half-time, continuous enrollment, etc.)
Scholarships
Outside scholarships, grants and third-party payments can vary, so check with the financial aid office at your transfer institution.
