The Rapid Response Program was created to enable community colleges to respond in a timely manner to the workforce development needs of employers. It authorizes the Commissioner of Higher Education to grant funds through a competitive process to support employer requests for workforce training programs. The program reflects the state's commitment to create new opportunities for locally developed, regionally specific jobs and skills training.
