Prior Military Service

Your prior military service is not applicable to the Optional Retirement Program (ORP).

Past military service does not enhance your benefits under the Plan; nor is it counted towards either ORP vesting or satisfying the service requirement for eligibility for post-employment benefits from the Group Insurance Commission.

However, past military service can be applied under the State Employees’ Retirement System.
