Veterans Education Certifying Officials’ Training Session

Purpose

The Massachusetts Department of Higher Education hosted a Veterans Education Certifying Officials' Training Session at Worcester State University on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. The purpose of this annual meeting was to provide certifying officials at Massachusetts public and private higher education institutions with updated information on the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and State Approving Agency (SAA) policies, procedures, and methods, as well as an overview of state and federal education benefits. During this information session, department staff also provided information on the recent legislative changes to the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
