Multi-State Collaborative for Learning Outcomes Assessment

In an initiative that holds promise for national leadership, Massachusetts is working to develop a Multi-State Collaborative for Learning Outcomes Assessment to advance assessment and allow for cross-state comparisons. Working with partner states, the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), and the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO), Massachusetts is focused on how best to develop assessment systems that:

Project Structure within Massachusetts

Task Force on Statewide Assessment

Massachusetts formed a Task Force on Statewide Assessment with representatives of each of the primary partner campuses in Massachusetts appointed by the campus president or chancellor to provide oversight and guidance and to make sure there is good communication between the project and participating campuses as the work proceeds.

State Partner Team

The State Partner Team works with counterpart groups in other participating states of the collaborative on the preliminary design and model for pilot testing in collaborating states.

Massachusetts Team

The Massachusetts Team is charged with developing a working model and design for a pilot test in Massachusetts.
