Veterans Education Certifying Officials’ Training Session

The Massachusetts Department of Higher Education hosted a Veterans Education Certifying Official Training Session at Worcester State College on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

The training session consisted of several topics including policies, procedures, and methods Certifying Officials need to know. An overview of the Massachusetts State Approving Agency and the Veterans Administration was also presented in the morning.

In the afternoon, participants attended breakout sessions consisting of a Frequently Asked Questions segment and open discussion.

This event was designed to benefit college certifying officials, administrators, counseling staff, student services/affairs staff, and all others engaged in serving veterans at institutions of higher education.
