STEM Starter Academy has been supporting community college STEM students earn degrees and certificates since 2014. The Department of Higher Education wants to continue to support community college students in their education as they pursue bachelor’s degrees at our public 4-year institutions.
Students transferring from one of the fifteen community colleges in Massachusetts and transferring to these programs will either run in-person or virtually, depending on the status of social distancing and campus policy at that time.
STEM transfer academy programs will allow you the opportunity to get a jump start on your time at the university. Students who participate in Summer Transfer Academy will:
The Summer STEM Transfer Academy program has been suspended for Summer 2025. Please reach out to Allison Little alittle@dhe.mass.edu, Assistant Commissioner of P16 Alignment and Outreach, with questions.
