Resources for Police Departments

Officers must apply for the PCIPP through the Police Department in which they are employed. Officers should contact the PCIPP Administrator at their department to find out how to apply for the PCIPP.

Eligibility Requirements for PCIPP:

• Officer must be considered a regular full-time officer in a participating police department as of July 1, 2009
• Must complete an approved Criminal Justice degree program
• First Time Applicant: Must have enrolled in an approved criminal justice program as of October 1, 2009
• Returning/Upgrade Applicant: Any regular full-time officer who is currently participating in the police career incentive pay program will be allowed to continue to participate in the program, pursuant to G.L. c. 41, s. 108L.

Any regular full-time member of a police department hired on or after July 1, 2009, will NOT be eligible to participate in the police career incentive pay program.
