Application Outline

We recently revised the application from multiple fillable forms to one streamlined form containing the five main application segments. The five main segments are:

• Cover Sheet: provides foundational information about the applicant.
• Institutional Profile: provides an institutional context for programs submitted for review.
• Program Profile: provides a factual summary of information related to the program being reviewed.
• Program Overview: provides a brief narrative overview (three-page maximum) of each criminal justice or law enforcement program for which the applicant seeks approval. The overview places the program in both an institutional and historical context, summarizes the findings related to the nine Quality Standards (A-I), highlights strengths and concerns, and indicates plans for the future.
• Quality Standards: provides a concise summary of the program's fulfillment of the criteria for each of the nine Quality Standards (A-I) and evidence to demonstrate compliance.

Submission

All applications must be received by the Board of Higher Education by September 30.

Email the application to pcipp@dhe.mass.edu and include a link to the college’s catalog.

Institutional supplementary materials about the program that are not available electronically, such as handbooks, brochures, etc., can be provided to the review team during its site visit.
